Many Small Assignments
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would definitely recommend HAP if you are considering going into the medical field. HAP will really and truly show the student whether or not they should pursue medicine in the first place while also being a fun and instructive class. The teachers aren't stellar, but the activities I did in that class are ones for the memory book.
As someone who was unsure about going on the pre-med track, this really opened my eyes to the potential of the medical field. HAP literally introduced me to something I would want to do for the rest of my life. One highlight of the course was dissecting the cow eye. Now although it may sound gross, the dissection was truly beautiful and one of the coolest things I have ever done. On top of that, we do a bunch of exciting dissections on cats throughout the year which was really exciting! In HAP you get to experience and discover the entire body, starting from the tiniest of cells to the biggest of bones and I genuinely loved it. HAP is the type of class that makes you want to learn more and more: it fuels your curiosity.

Advice for students:
HAP is not an easy class but it is not terribly difficult. My advice is to really stay on top of vocab. Quiz yourself via flashcards or any method that works for you and know your vocab terms! And don't memorize them on the surface level either. You need to remember a lot of the things you've learned from past units. Besides that, don't worry too much about the dissections, they aren't as bad as people think, although the smell is not super pleasant. It's a great class and people have a lot of fun so enjoy it!
