    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course taught me to compare current events with our country's history to form my own opinions. While studying the past and learning about the present, i was able to gain an understanding for the flaws and politics of our country, and finding a way to voice my opinions with evidence and facts.

    Course highlights:

While studying past elections, to me it was very interesting to compare our current 2016 election to those of the past. Our teacher always said, "History doesn't repeat itself, but it sure does rhyme." This teacher helped me find a better understanding of both the world around me and gave me a hunger to stay informed and current

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the extra time to finish your homework early and study for tests the moment you hear about them. Don't be afraid to ask questions and contact your teacher for help, as this course will challenge you.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is the perfect course to prepare you for college. The course is structured to help students develop important study habits. You are truly thrown out there to fend for yourself. You only receive a calendar of reading notes and deadline, and the for the rest you are on your own. I was so grateful to have this experience to teach me that I can very successful as long as I put my mind to it and work hard.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was learning about the American Revolution. It was very eye opening to learn about the sacrifices everyone had to make in order to get our country to the place it is today. It was also very fascinating to learn about the early 90s because this was the time my grandparents were growing up. After leaning about the time period, hearing my grandma's stories about her childhood were so much moe meaningful.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Students coming into the course should definitely be ready to put a good amount of effort into this class. There is a to of memorization when it comes to important events so flashcards will be your best friend. Also, doing the reading is SO important. I cannot stress that enough. Read everything. It will definitely show on your tests if you do the reading homework or not.
