    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Math 64 Intermediate Algebra because it sets the foundation for strong mathematics skills to move on to higher level math like Trig, Pre-Calc, and Calc. Professor Pickett is awesome! He is so intelligent and will help you with any problem. He also makes it a really fun class and teaches you math from the beginning so even if you don't know or remember much he can help you get caught up and teach you neat tricks about algebra.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was being expected to work in groups and go to facilitated learning sessions taught by tutors. Professor Pickett stressed doing this because it would help all of us learn to conceptually think and to hash out problems with others. By doing work with others we were thinking about the whys of the problem and not just how to do it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Work in groups. Get a study buddy to do homework with and don't suffer alone. If you don't know how to do something, get help!

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't have taken this class if I wasn't required for further classes.

    Course highlights:

I learned that MiraCosta offers free tutoring.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take it with David Bonds unless you are a concept learner. If you are more of a see it and do it over and over, DON'T take it with Bonds.
