Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I always recommend the Agriculture Academy to incoming Freshman. The academy is a great way to put your self more out there and participate in activities you thought you might never would have. Since Freshman year I have over 300 hours of community service, and every single one of those hours was truly spent helping my community that I never cared for before. This academy helped get over my worst fear: Public Speaking, in the academy you are entitled to join Future Farmers of America (FFA), the academy teacher Mr. Flores pushes us to do speaking contests such as the FFA creed, Parliamentary procedure, and the job interview contest. These contest made me so confident in my skills. Without this academy I do not know where I would be right now, this program is truly life changing in a good way.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches you about agriculture and the type of jobs that are out there. We also learned about plant husbandry, the anatomy of plants, newer and more efficient ways of raising or growing agricultural commodities, and many more ag. related skills such as large animal care. In this course you also have the opportunity to raise livestock such as goats, lambs, pigs, and steers. In your Junior and Senior year of this course you are able to take an internship at any of the local ag. business's in town, which will only help you get experience in the job force and help you land a job after High School.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed at this course you must be confident in your won skills and abilities, and if you are not your peers and teacher Mr. Flores will help you. This course has so many opportunists that may open up doors to your future, so if you join take advantage.
