    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend it because it was the only high school course I took that was seriously similar to an actual college course. Doc Jones prepared us well for the AP test and put a lot of thought and care into her job. She made sure to make the notes and discussions interesting and somewhat fun.

    Course highlights:

I gained the ability to take notes out of a textbook. That may seem like too simple of an answer but it was the most important thing that I learned during high school. Doc Jones sat us all down and took us through the process of taking notes the right way and the efficient way. For that, I'm forever grateful to her.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you stay on top of the reading. It's only a few pages each night and it's not that difficult. I can tell you from firsthand experience that doing an entire chapter of notes the night before the exam is torture and will result in a terrible exam grade.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course, it is unique to a lot of other high school classes which I find very interesting. It is fun learning about how our mind works and applying it to what we already know.

    Course highlights:

Honestly all of it! I am super interested in psychology anyway and hope to continue in college, I really liked social psych.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your notes and get everything done on time, and study a lot, make sure you are 100% on everything because there are a lot of terms. Make sure you contribute to in class discussions, it helps everyone and you may learn more!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would HIGHLY recommend taking AP Psych from Doc Jones, or any teacher as it is easily the most fascinating and informative courses I've taken in my entire life. For Doc Jones specifically, she goes the extra mile to make the course challenging yet accessible, engage every single one of her students to the degree that they need, and most importantly appropriately prepare you for the workload and style of a college course. Not to mention the things you learn within Psych will have ramifications throughout the entirety of your life, from your sleep schedule to your mood swings to explaining why you might have commitment issues, Psych plays a role.

    Course highlights:

Learning what's wrong with and how to fix your sleep schedule (and then totally ignoring it but it's the thought that counts, right?)

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

DO YOUR NOTES DO YOUR NOTES DO YOUR NOTES. Doc gives you a pace at which you should be doing them so make sure you stick to that! It's there for a reason! Don't be that student (me) who puts them off to the very last minute and then has to stay up to the wee hours of the morning frantically trying to complete them.
