    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was not as in depth as Mrs. Matta's chemistry class, and put me at a disadvantage when taking AP Chemistry the following year. Also, it was difficult to effectively learn because the class was in the afternoon and the boys in the class were rowdy and disrespectful. Also, Karch is a softball coach. During softball season, she was unavailable due to an early dismissal due to softball. This made it even more inefficient, especially on test days. Some labs were done in another classroom and therefore had to be accomplished in only one class period.

    Course highlights:

I learned basic chemistry, and that some teachers are unapproachable with questions. I also learned how to read bad handwriting, and to not ask what it says. I also learned how to efficiently finish a lab requiring 2 class periods in only one class period. I also learned how to change data values to not have a large percent error.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have phone numbers of everyone else in the class. Also, create a Khan academy account or find chemistry videos on YouTube. And save them.
