Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class. I finished the course with a good understanding of chemistry.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was learning about chemical compounds. I feel that learning what matter is made of is important, and I was interested in learning about it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to not fall behind and pay attention in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a really tough class, but it is a Higher Level IB Class, so it is to be expected. I have learned a lot, but if you want to do well, you need to spend a lot of time studying yourself. The Pearsons IB Chemistry textbook has great practice problems to work through. It is also a great course if you are interested in medicine or engineering.

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot of knowledge, but I would say that the organic chemistry and materials science taught me the most. You will also learn a lot about the periodic table and bonds, as well as compound structures. Overall, there are a lot of practical applications of the more complicated structural and molecular science you will learn.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study and use the textbook frequently. I would also recommend forming study groups and visiting your teacher whenever you can. It is also worth it to do a lot of practice, particularly answering IB style questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry with Mr. Shonk at Marshall High School is the most college preparing class I have ever taken.

    Course highlights:

In this class, I learned all the basic fundamentals of the periodic table.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, you need to make sure to pay attention. If you have any questions, ask! Lastly, always get all of your homework done on time.
