    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I truly believe that art gives us a window into another time of history. It tells us the story of mankind-- what we liked or disliked, what we believed, what we held dear in society. Dr. McCann is so enthusiastic and passionate about this subject that you can't help but be excited, too.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the different styles of art, the different time periods, and the many different artists who have influenced the art world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you want an easy yet high quality intro to art, this is the class to take. Even if you're not an artist or that interested in art, there is always something fascinating to find.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Fillmore really pushes his students to succeed and it is not a class for slackers because he makes you read and take a lot of notes, and gives many quizzes and small yet tedious assignments.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was that I learned and remember a lot about art history.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to read your textbook and have quizzes every week.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course as taught by Professor Fillmore because he takes a different approach to teaching art appreciation. Rather than simply learning about the history of art as you would in a history class, Fillmore goes in depth to help students understand issues of stereotypes in the world of art, types of art and material, and deeper into what makes up art and what it means as a concept.

    Course highlights:

Prior to taking this class I didn't know too much about art. After taking the class, I not only knew more about types of art and artists, but beyond that I learned about the impact of art on culture and the impact of culture on art, discrimination in the world of art and in the world, and much more.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To any students thinking of taking this course, while it seems like a big load of work at first, roll with the punches. It actually isn't a tough course and the material learned is eye opening.
