    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is one of my favorite classes! Don't get me wrong, it's still a hard class, but it is a wonderful step to take if you want to go to college! This course is mainly written work. Mrs. Ruffell is a great teacher who takes the time to carefully pick apart every essay turned in to her. She grades each paper thoroughly and helps you develop writing skills and strategies that are useful for college!

    Course highlights:

I learned a few strategies to writing college-level research papers and annotated bibliographies. With her persnickety grading, I also learned what writing mistakes I make frequently and how to fix them.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If I were to give advice to anyone considering taking this class, I would say: DON'T PROCRASTINATE! The course entails many projects which could consume your time and be hard to finish if you procrastinate. My advice would be to start working on the projects as soon as they are assigned. They won't take as much time to complete if you start right away, and you'll have more free time after you finish!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course. The workload wasn't easy but it also wasn't over bearing. As long as the assignments were completed and turned in on time my grade stayed up.

    Course highlights:

I have learned a lot about the structure of essays, preparing resumes, and other important documents. My strengths in writing have increased along with the areas that I had previously struggled with. It is has been highly beneficial and prepared me for my future.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When considering this course it is important to realize that to get the grades and results that you want you must also put forth the necessary effort. This class is fairly easy but it definitely demands the necessary time for the assignments.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to those who are seeking to expand their writing capabilities. I also feel that my vocabulary has been greatly enhanced through out this course.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the challenges of the course. For example I had to write a definition essay that was only two-hundred and fifty words, which sounds easy right, but no it was actually kind of hard to accumulate all the points needed to compose a well written essay with out going over the assigned two-hundred and fifty words.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give to students in this class is to ask questions. Make sure you understand the work you are doing and the task at hand. If you don't, ask her to clarify or rephrase.
