    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He is a great teacher! His powerpoints are immaculate, the only downside is that the in class essays are always difficult to get an A on. But still, one of the best teachers I have ever had.

    Course highlights:

The in class activities were lots of fun.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say go for it, because you learn a lot and even if the essays are hard you definitely will come out of it more knowledgeable than before.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Not only was Ms. Pearson an excellent teacher and advisor, the spring research project she required for the course was by far the most engaging and eye-opening experiences of my high school career.

    Course highlights:

The aforementioned project required us to work as a team to battle current social issues affecting the world. I ended up pursuing homelessness and began volunteering at Door of Hope -- a non-profit organization that helps families transition out of poverty. Although this project had little to do with the standard curriculum, the project taught me that homelessness is highly prevalent in many communities yet often gets unnoticed. I learned to advocate issues, reach out to others, and not take anything for granted because of this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, all you have to do is stay on top of outside reading and listen in class. Tests are worth the majority of your final grade, but the teacher does not try to trick you.
