Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has already helped me write better essays and pay more attention to detail in my writing.

    Course highlights:

I have learned to check and double check my writing when preparing an essay. I have also learned that procrastination is such a hindrance in an online class. You have to manage your time well and be responsible.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't procrastinate, because whatever you're procrastinating on, you'll end up not doing it. Taking it online makes it challenging because you are responsible for remembering due dates and making sure you're submitting an assignment in the right format.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Freshman English with Tonya Shepherd is an excellent way to sharpen your writing skills. The class involves group discussions and Professor Shepherd is always willing to give feedback in order to improve your writing.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned how to write various types of essays that I had not been exposed to previously. The class also pushed me outside of my comfort zone as it included four hours of community service for one of the essays.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell any student considering this course that as long as you go to class and do the homework, you will be able to pass this class. The cumulative journal due at the end of the class is a big source of points, so make sure you keep track of all of your writing over the semester and do it as you go so you are not trying to spend hours writing journal entries the night before it is due.
