    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend the class to students who enjoy a challenge and can handle a lot of pressure. It is a difficult class and Mr. Boulton can be incredibly intimidating (and loud), but it is one of the most stimulating classes I have. It teaches you about key parts of our government and how it functions without being boring, like previous history courses I've taken.

    Course highlights:

The most important things that I have gained from this course are my study and learning habits. Though Mr. Boulton can be scary at times, he always pushes his students to do well and gives them all of the tools they need to succeed. I've learned crucial skills that will help me in university next year and how to manage my time effectively so that I can do the best work possible, in school and in life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work in this class. It is by no means easy and if you are struggling after the first few weeks, it is better to drop the class for regular government. The difficulty level of this class increases exponentially, and if you aren't prepared to sacrifice time and energy to learn and study, then do not take this class. This course requires a lot of diligent work and there are no shortcuts to succeed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to all seniors because it allows you to learn about our nation's government in an objective way, while forming your own political views.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to build my political views and my political efficacy based on my personal values and beliefs.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be diligent, and do not take the easy way out.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because he is a teacher who cares about the education of his students. His demeanor can be quite intimidating, but in truth, he is just passionate about our students understanding of their won connection to the world and government. This course opens one's eyes to social and political concerns that would otherwise be dismissed as irrelevant.

    Course highlights:

Famously known as the most intense part of the course is the court case presentation in which we do our own research on a case. This activity allowed for the real-time application of the many clauses we studied. This is especially interesting as peers go head-to-head in competitive grading.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the notes and study them. Simple as that.
