    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a very challenging but rewarding course. If you have made it this far, do not hesitate to take the course, the algebra can be tedious but through practice the concepts are there to grasp.

    Course highlights:

By the end of the year you can take volumes of rotating solids to create 3 dimensional figures, all without a calculator. It is very rewarding because this concept relates to real life uses such as programming equations into a 3d printer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You must study, if the teachers offers extra curricular tutoring you should definitely go. Understanding the concept at first is one thing however the important thing is to be able to master it so you can move on to the next one.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Pyrz encourages a great learning environment where everyone in the classroom participates in an effort to better understand the given math.

    Course highlights:

Learning the calculus behind solids of revolution was my favorite part of the course.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and ask lots of questions. Mr. Pyrz is willing to explain anything, even simple math you should have learned in previous courses.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You gain deep knowledge about Calculus in a rigorous course that challenges your math skills.

    Course highlights:

I have learned about related rates that are concerned with position, velocity, and acceleration. In addition, I have learned how to evaluate limits on a graph.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you don't understand the basics of the chapter you are on, go to tutoring. Form study groups, and study everyday, even if there isn't a test. Be prepared to put in a lot of effort, and to spend at LEAST an hour a day for this class. Review notes everyday so you don't forget what you learned.
