    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend taking her unless you truly have to. There were often times when a test would roll around an no one would be prepared. that being said, to become prepared she offered option SI sessions where one of her TA's (teachers assistants) would go over the practices test that were identical to the actual test. These SI sessions would usually be two days before a test, because of that I as well as my peers were caught cramming the information. After taking the test we would forget all our knowledge from the SI session because of the cramming. Therefore we didn't learn much from her teaching at all.

    Course highlights:

The labs were fun, if you knew the information. The cool part was getting to see the stuff taught in lecture, being contributed to real life scenarios which are demonstrated in lab. If you get professor Erin Carter for lab you're in luck. Shes great at explaining materials to every student no matter how hard they're struggling.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to all the SI sessions because if you don't you will fail. This professor depends on her SI teachers to teach for her. You will learn more in the SI session than you will by sitting in her lectures.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The timing of lectures compared to recitation did not help as we did not review the material for recitation until after the class had already occurred.

    Course highlights:

Reinforced previous knowledge from high school as well as expanded knowledge on several areas and corrected previous misconceptions

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading before coming to class

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a great class that was perfectly structured. Professor Heidi is an amazing professor who is always willing to help her students. The course material is spread throughout different learning forms from videos to weekly journals. Great course I would surely recommend!

    Course highlights:

I gained a lot of knowledge into the topics covered within General Chemistry. The professor keepsa little exciting with clicker questions. Clicker questions are always used on the tests. I learned to always do the work assigned as soon as it is given because many assignments take a god amount of time to be completed and or are complex.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the tutoring sessions that are for free! Go to office hours if you need more help or understanding on the subject. Do all of your chapter assignments, mastering chemistry and extra credit assignments. These are guaranteed grades that you can excel in. Never miss an exam. Attend all labs and recitations if possible. DON't CHEAT!
