    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is great for anyone who would like to learn the proper way for caring for plants in the harsh Arizona landscape. This course showed me better ways to take care of my garden, citrus trees, and other landscape shrubs and trees than what I had been doing in the past. The instructor has a great wealth of knowledge and is very passionate about the subject. You can just hear the excitement in his voice on his recorded lectures. This course really attempts to get the students more in tune with nature by making them go outside to really observe what there is around them. I found this course to be very relaxing.

    Course highlights:

This course helped me save my garden from the Arizona heat! I was able to apply knowledge I gained from the instructor into my everyday life and prevent my plants from dying over the summer. Normally, everything will die as soon as it starts to get really hot. He saved me hundreds of dollars by teaching me how to protect my produce. I will never be able to thank him enough for that.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take the course over the summer, bring water with you! There are assignment where you are required to go outside and take pictures of yourself next to trees and shrubs. Other than that, just be sure to leave enough time to watch all of the videos and do your readings. This is not a class where you can wait until the last minute to skim over everything. Some of the videos are an hour long and require your full attention to take notes that will end up being on his quizzes.
