    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It gives you a nice, introductory course about the fundamentals of electricity and power. However, they're quite a few equations to remember but it was still interesting regardless to understand how to use oscilloscopes and other measuring tools. It was an interesting change of pace.

    Course highlights:

I didn't have any idea how electricity or any of the millions equations worked but after I took this course I finally understood how power and energy relate. Considering we're a society that is completely reliant on electricity, I feel we should at least have a basic understanding about how it works.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study. The rule for every class you'll ever take even if you study for ten minutes. It's still studying. Office hours are pretty helpful too, it gives you a one-on-one session with the professor to answer some questions about concepts you just didn't get during lecture.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The course was interesting and informative, however there were many points of information that we were expected to have covered in this course and didn't. For example, we spent a couple of weeks covering transistors and their circuits, but we didn't cover diodes or transformers.

    Course highlights:

In this course we learned about resistor, capacitors and inductors. We covered many configurations and the charge drain cycles.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the book. This is a very important class in building engineering fundamentals.
