    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to any Biology major. In part since it is almost necessary to get your Biology degree. Dr. Sweat is a great professor that will keep you enticed until the last minute of class. He has a true passion for Biology and teaching. He has regular office hours that are highly recommended for your success in this class.

    Course highlights:

This course has helped me see that Biology is definitely the degree I want to pursue. This is in part from Dr. Sweat being a very humorous and passionate teacher. Even though the tests were very difficult if you put the effort in and paid attention during lectures you are going to pass this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

READ THE TEXTBOOK. This course requires that you attend the lectures as well as read and study the book on your own free time. If you read every chapter even if you briefly go over it and retain the main theme's you can pass. If you want to get an A in this class you would definitely need to study about 10 hours a week.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you like being challenged and want to increase your critical thinking skills this class is perfect. However, if you're a visual or kinetic learner this class might not be the best option because during lecture he usually talks about pictures but has no words on the powerpoint.

    Course highlights:

I improved my critical thinking skills.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters before class, and try to answer his questions from the powerpoint before class in case there's a question that really stumped you.
