This class was tough.
Course Overview:
This course is very math heavy. If you enjoy learning the abstract theory behind how probability is calculated, then this is the course for you.
Course highlights:
The highlights of this course had to be the professor and the newfound thinking processes. Words cannot describe how intelligent Dr. Taylor is, and he is so willing to provide his students with the resources necessary for success. I learned why we calculate certain probability functions and not just how. It also trained my mind in logical thinking which has been a positive skill well after completing the course.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
This is not an easy elective. This course requires you to know why you use certain functions to calculate probability and not just how to calculate them. Questions on the exams are mini essays and not your standard solve-this-math-problem questions that increase in difficulty as you progress through the exam.
