Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is challenging due to the amount of homework, however it is very fun and rewarding if you just put the time into it. Learning how the basis of computers work is very interesting since everyday people take that for granted.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is for sure the Hardware Labs. If you prepare for them before hand and map out what you will be doing in the lab it really doesn't take much time or effort, besides trouble shooting, to finish them. They are very fun to see how a bunch of 0's and 1's can come together and do something you want it to do.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take this course if you are straight up lazy. No lie. If you are lazy this course is not for you because there is a lot of homework and every week you will have to dedicate a lot of time to this class. That being said, I think this class is very rewarding and fun if you do put in the time and effort to learn the material and apply it to the labs.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great introductory class to work towards circuits. Don't procrastinate! It doesn't seem hard or time consuming at first, because the first couple weeks aren't. It builds extremely fast and by the end, everyone is screaming for the finish. Nonstop homework the last 2 weeks or so.

    Course highlights:

Gained needed knowledge to progress towards circuits 1 and 2

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you have enough time set aside EVERY DAY or at a minimum every other day, in order to get the labs done. It isn't rare when a lab will take 8-10 hours total to finish.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very straight forward with the course and will take advantage of moving quickly through the material when ahead i.e. starting a lecture a day early. And with this found time he will go over homework and/or tests. He is a little hard to approach as he does poke fun if you ask questions that are slightly obvious.

    Course highlights:

Learned how to make simple circuits in the lab and in simulations. More of a general ideas class. Great for people not sure about electrical engineering or want some technical background outside of your major.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

DO NOT WAIT FOR THE NIGHT BEFORE FOR THE SIMULATION LABS. These labs are very easy just time consuming, just start them one or two nights before the due date.
