    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for anyone thinking about learning how to program. This is unlike any other Math course I have taken, which makes it challenging, but the skills are ones needed for one to become better by gaining a certain background.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write mathematic proofs in this course and I also learned about logic.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would say study everyday. Go over the material many times until it is comes your brain can solve any of the problems

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Love the professor. It's a very fairly set up course with plenty of opportunities for extra credit and great response time. Also an awesome use of piazza to help you interact with other classmates!

    Course highlights:

I love the logical aspect this course brings to math. It really shows you how to think mathematically, which is really beneficial in a lot of fields, especially computer science and software development.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard! Don't take it for granted just because you do well on the quizzes. There are plenty of extra problems in the book to practice, and lots of time to accomplish all of the work. It is a lot of work, but it's an awesome course. Just make sure to put in a couple hours a day, and you will be set.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you love math you will love this course. It is not an easy A -- you will have to work for it -- but that makes it more worthwhile.

    Course highlights:

This class makes you think out of the box. You cover probability, propositional logic and equivalence, rules of inference, sets and set operations, and more.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to use your brain and think outside of the box (I've said this twice now). The book is therected for you, but you have to take what you have learned and apply it to new scenarios. YouTube and Kahn Academy were a great help! Dr. Mohacsy is very responsive and willing to help and I recommend you take advantage of that!
