Be prepared for a fun learning film class. I learned so much about films, acting, and movie history in the United States.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Hartmann was awesome. She genuinely cares about her students and how successful they are, both in her class and in life in general. Pay attention during class though, because she will teach in depth everything you need to know to pass her tests. She does take forever to grade things, so don't expect most of your grades to be put in until the last couple weeks of the semester.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of valuable information pertaining to my major. The highlights were that Hartmann is very knowledgable about what she teaches and is very passionate about it. This class is very useful for people who have a limited knowledge of film.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to class. When you're lying in bed watching an episode of Game of Thrones and you have 14 seconds to decide if you want to skip class and watch another character get their head chopped off or hit the pause button and get your butt out of bed, go to class. I have gotten all too many questions wrong on tests because I skipped the one class that went over that material. And do I remember what happened in that episode that I skipped class for? No. Because it won't further my education nor will it help me in life whatsoever. I did miss valuable information that will pertain to my career though! It is incredibly tempting to skip class to take a nap when you know that attendance won't be taken, but go.
