Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone with a real interest in how money flows through societies and how different variables affect economies. Professor Radway is enormously experienced evident by her stories she tells in class of previous business jobs. While some of her views may be considered biased towards a certain political party, it is clear that she has a vast understanding of economics that may not even be rivaled by the book for the class.

    Course highlights:

For me, having already taken Macro-Economics, in this Micro-Economics course learning about how taxes affect society and how deadweight losses affect everyone in economies opened my eyes greatly. I never had realized that taxes cause such a shift in economic markets and how in the end there will be a gray area where everyone loses out on surplus. This was very interesting to me and I studied it more than probably necessary.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not get intimated by the curves in the markets. Look at examples of how these markets get affected and what changes the curves for demand, supply, average and marginal costs. Try to get an understanding using real-life everyday examples (and yes there are many actual examples for everything we learn about in class). Finally, it cannot be emphasized enough that you must absolutely without a doubt come to class.
