Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this course if you are thinking of majoring in communication. This course has great information about researching and the teacher was awesome!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is learning to critique, synthesize, and write bibliographies from journal articles. Learning the methods and tools to create a journal article. As well as learning about theories of communication and applying them into your paper.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not miss any lectures, go to office hours, start your paper early so you can get it proofread before semding it and study for your exams.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a required course for the Communication major, however I would DEFINITELY recommend taking it with Dr. Quinlivan! She is very helpful and responds to emails promptly.

    Course highlights:

This course was a really good starting point for future courses. I just started taking COM308, and COM207 provided a really good base of understanding for how to complete a literature review and methods paper. COM207 also gave me a good understanding of a variety of communication theories.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the instructions for all of the assignments at the beginning of the course, and aim to get each assignment done one week in advance! They build on each other, so getting the first assignment done gives you a jumpstart on the next one, etc.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you keep up with the assignments and show that you are trying you will do great. It can be confusing at times, but Janet is always their to help you. She is a very sweet person and really cares about her students.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, the most important part of this course is learning and preparing for COM 308. These are the building blocks for future required courses, and if it does not all make sense now its okay because there are more classes to come.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Purchase the required readings, you will need them. Turn in assignments on time!
