Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Learned a lot about how health is affected by an individuals environment and surroundings. Class lectures were done online so work is done on your own time and course material is extremely interesting.

    Course highlights:

Affluence and ethnic background affect health.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Start on assignments 1 and 2 early in addition get advice from the teaching assistant because these papers are where a majority of your grade will come from.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class for a couple of things. One, it is a hybrid class meaning most of the work is done outside of class while we meet once a week to discuss. If you're interested in global health, public health, or medical professions this class is for you. You get to hear from many different people who study different aspects of medicine and how they go about treating others. Very educational and answers those questions you probably don't even think about such as "how do we know who to give the vaccine to first and why." The lecture material was a lot with a quiz every Friday.

    Course highlights:

I think the highlight of the course was being able to hear from professors and such in so many different areas of expertise. I learned about how to implement global health solutions and what ethical values need to be considered when doing so. I also learned about how to create my own health philosophy.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It's easy to put the work off until the night before the quiz because it is all online, so I recommend you watch the videos and do the readings in advance slowly and take notes so you don't cram all in one night!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is very informative and really opens your eyes to what is going on in the world apart from America. It brings to attention the struggles that many countries have to go through to get basic living necessities like fresh water. Some of the course is online which is great for students who have work as well like me, because you can do assignments when it I convenient for you.

    Course highlights:

I learned many things in this course but the things that stuck out to me the most was the fact that many countries and ethnicities follow religious holistic doctors that are believed to work miracals rather than follow regular medical practice.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't leave all of the online work until the last minute. You get 2 weeks for each online assignment plus a quiz so it's better to get it out of the way quickly so you don't overwhelm yourself at the end.
