Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it has information that I feel everyone should be aware of to start moving our society forward. Sometimes we get so stuck in our own bubbles that we forget to look at other points of view. From race wars to the gender wage gap the course offered a lot of insight into issues plaguing out society today.

    Course highlights:

For me, the thing that stuck out the most was the global wage gaps. We discussed global care chains which is basically when a mother leaves her children to care for children of a family in a wealthy country. These mothers then send their wages back to their home country. While they live in poverty in their country their children are able to live middle to upper class lives. As a mother it broke my heart that women had to leave their family for years at a time in order to give them a better life because the distribution of wealth in the world is so varied.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This is an online course so you need a computer and discipline. Also make sure you watch all the videos and read the supplemental readings. There was once where I only read the book material and that proved to be a mistake when it came time for that week's quiz.
