    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is required regardless of whether or not you want to take it. I enjoyed it because Mrs. Showkeir is a fabulous professor. She takes the education of her students seriously. I was unable to make it to a study session, and she cleared up time in her schedule to call me and clarify material the day before our midterm. She really cares!

    Course highlights:

I learned that I can overcome any tough course. Especially a course that can and will drop you from your program if you do not get a good grade in it. It also prepared me for my classes to come. My entire writing rhetoric has improved so much. My other professors even noticed.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay focused! It is easy to fall behind. Take advantage of the practice quizzes, teaching assistants and tutoring sessions. This class matters far after the course it over. Take it seriously.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a required course for all Journalism students. Study. This is an online only class that should in person. It can be very tricky at times, and there is little help from the professor. If you know someone else in that course, do work with them, do everything you can to help you pass this class because with it being online and the lack of a professor's influence and help, you'll need to work your butt off.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of new things about grammar.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time to write down physical notes, use the search feature in the PowerPoint for assignments.
