Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The information provided in the course was very helpful for me as a film major because it went through the entire process of making a film and it gave me a new insight on what I think I want to in the film industry.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the assigned videos. The videos had to be watched because they related to what each lesson was about and none of the videos were boring or tedious they were all about films that I had either seen or had been interested in seeing and they were all about the making of the films and process that each film had to go through to get the movie made. Some of the videos were more specific and focused and a certain scene, but it was still educational as well as enjoyable to watch.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be make sure that this is what you want. Based on what I have learned about filmmaking it can be a very long and stressful process but if you are passionate about it then go out and get it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I loved this course! It went into great detail about each of the jobs in the film industry, as well as the process of making a film from start to finish.

    Course highlights:

The video screenings were my favorite part, and the lectures were pretty entertaining. The professor has industry experience, so he had a lot of stories about his time making films.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of the work and give yourself time for the screenings and lectures. Plan accordingly and don't leave everything til the last minute.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is a core class but it's simple and informative. This was one of my first courses as a Film major and I learned a lot of basic stuff that prepared me to sound intelligent while talking to fellow film students and teachers.

    Course highlights:

You learn about all the different jobs in movie making, which should be fairly interesting if you're a film student. The one or two short essays don't require rocket science and only TAs seem to grade and look at them.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I hardly listened to his vocal lectures, I just downloaded the pdfs of his powerpoint which laid out pretty much anything you needed to know for the short quizzes and essays.
