Always Do the Reading
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
This fun and interesting course taught students about the history of Japan and how it affected Japanese culture by viewing and discussing Japanese films. Although most people, especially Americans, think everything in Japan is all about anime, students are able to learn about the significance of anime, in addition to live-action films and how they have similar and different affects on the Japanese and world population.
Personally, I am a student who loves to learn through film. More information can be retained and understood than what is usually learned by reading a textbook. The entire course was interesting, as we focused on World War II, the modernization of Japan, the digital boom, and how people think technology will affect the world in the future.
