Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it really opened up my perspective and thinking on the way of life of different cultures and how in the United States we think very ethnocentrically and we stereotype other cultures, families and values due to wrong reasoning.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was the family dynamic section and the modern day marriage topic, I felt like it was very pertinent to my life and the things I've experienced with my family.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to read the chapters assigned in the text book and watch all lecture videos in order to be successful in this class. If you do those things, you will succeed! This is a great course and opens up your thinking.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

For me it was a great course to take because it helps me with what i hope to be my future career. As a Child Life Specialist you come into contact with all sort of families. So this class was perfect to help me understand more of other cultures, and types of families.

    Course highlights:

There was a lot to learn. What I found most interesting was the fact that i can connect so much of what I was learning to my life currently. To me that is one of the most important things when taking a class that I can turn around and apply it in a real life scenario.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It was not a super easy class there was a lot of reading and the professor was very specific as to what she wanted each post and assignment to be like, but as long as you keep up with that you should have a great time during this course.
