    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    It is recommended as it involves a lot of day to day security topics, starting with encryption to hashing and many more. It can give a pragmatic scene of how mobile phones, web browsers, internet banking etc work. The more deep we get into the subject it becomes more interesting.

    Course highlights:

    Encryption and decryption: which is a basic functionality of any secure communication. Hashing: This add more security and in case some one intercepts still communication remains secure. Types of encryption, such as public and private key encryption. Cryptanalysis i:e study of ciphers. What is a strong or week cipher?

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Keep up to date with the class. Listen carefully in the class. This course also needs some good programming knowledge of C and Java
