Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it really gives the basics of chemistry. Not only in specific situations in the lab portion, but also in a general sense in the lecture.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was working hard and seeing the final product of earning a good grade on a test or getting the clicker questions correct when he asked them during class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I highly advise to attend each lecture and recitation. Although the professor does go fast during the lecture he asks clicker questions which are basically to check if you are paying attention and they give you extra points. Recitation is great to go to because you get to put your knowledge to the test in real life situations while working with other students that are more than willing to help you understand the concepts.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was very challenging but overall I really like it because it helped me to remember all of the basic chemistry that I learned in high school and Dr. Hendrickson taught the course in a fun and relevant way that helped me to learn about chemistry in the real world.

    Course highlights:

This course went through the basics of chemistry such as going over the periodic table and terminology but then goes more in depth into the mathematical aspect. While this course starts off with simple chemistry, it does get more difficult as you go and there are a lot of terms and rules that you just have to memorize.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would remind people that this while this is a really cool class to take and learn about, its not easy and it requires a lot of paying attention in class and a lot of studying. When it comes to studying for class, I like to review my notes but also just go through a few practice problems, and watch chapter review videos from "Chads Review" because he breaks it down in a simple way that's easy to understand.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Hendrickson is a great professor! She explains things very throughly in a way that is easy to understand! If you are a student that works best with simple explanations, then she is the professor for you. Also she did a curve at the end of the semester, which helped a lot of students.

    Course highlights:

The best thing about this course was the Really Cool Chemistry segment that Dr. Hendrickson did every Friday. She would talk about interesting real world topics that were related to chemistry every Friday, and they would be bonus questions on the test.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the practice problems that she gives you! It really does help you in the end!
