Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course, because it gives students insight into the historical discrimination and institutional prejudice demonstrated in the film industry.

    Course highlights:

A few highlights included watching films which illustrated the insensitive treatment of women and racial minorities.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to anticipate analyzing films based on the filmmaker's choices to portray race and gender.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great way to learn about racism in America. It is a controversial course, but very enlightening. To be able to discuss race intelligently transcends politics.

    Course highlights:

I got to see some good movies!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to discuss race and gender issues intelligently. You will be analyzing film elements for these issues. The midterm and final examinations are very time consuming. I got an A+ but I really worked hard for it!
