    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course was like putting a name to something I had always been interested in. I have studied literature before and discussed narratology indirectly, but this theatre class directly discussed narratology. It was fascinating and Professor Gharavi always made the lectures interesting. Overall great course.

    Course highlights:

I loved the Cambridge Introduction to Narrative and the Backwards and Forwards book by Bal. Both these texts helped me look at theatre differently and improve my own writing and performance.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to turn in assignments on time as late work is not accepted. Read the texts and attend the lectures (there are quizzes at the end of each class).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The interaction of the course is what makes this such an amazing course.

    Course highlights:

Professor Gharavi's style of teaching overall is a highlight and sharing examples of term helped me understand terms in film that I would never have known.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to share your ideas.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I wasn't a huge fan of this class because it seemed both too basic and abstract.

    Course highlights:

I attended the lectures since they were mandatory but did not gain anything from them. At the end of the course you write a short story and get it graded by a student in the class, and vice versa.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

It's a core class for film students so you have to take it, but do the simple assignments and you'll do well. I didn't put a huge amount of effort into the class and got As on the assignments.
