    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Very boring. Participate with peers during group quizzes though and you can get an A.

    Course highlights:

I had great classmates who made the quizzes tolerable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings. Make sure you pay attention to the lecture slides as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class overall isn't overly complex, however, since there are only three homework assignments throughout the whole semester your main source of points are the tests. The good news is that since the topics aren't too complex this means if you payed attention in lecture you'll do pretty well with only a small amount of studying needed. This does mean that you have to attend lecture, missing is not a real option, but that goes with just about any class.

    Course highlights:

The topics tended to be fairly interesting and varied from diseases affecting past and present societies. The three homework assignments were rather interesting as they had you read one article and that be the focus of all the assignments for the semester, so you really get to know the article's topic pretty well. And there weren't too many test to study for, they only have a midterm and final (which is just everything since the midterm) so overall it wasn't as stressful as my other classes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention and attend lecture. Don't think you can just glance at your homework article and finish the assignment, it might be a pain but read it until you are confident you understand it, you use the same article throughout the year so you just need to really read it once.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you have a Biology major or are simply interested in Biology, then this course should be taken. This class covers nearly all of the possible occupations, careers and fields in which Biology covers. Biology is such as broad field. Narrowing your options and your interests makes choosing your career easier, especially with Biology.

    Course highlights:

One of my favorite topics in the class was Biodefense. Essentially it is the defense against Bioterrorism and what goes into the difficulty of qurantines and distribution of vaccines. Very scary but fascinating subject.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The exams are not too difficult as long as you go over the slides. While attendance is not 100% necessary and frankly some of the guest lectureres were pretty boring, the tests are not so difficult you need to study. One of the most fun projects was writing for a science website to explain difficult topics to junior high school students.
