    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it explains criminological theories from past to present. This class will provide theories as to why people commit crime and what can drive people to crime. The class content will motivate students to critically think about current issues in crime.

    Course highlights:

In general, I learned about social bond theory, conflict theory, strain theory and much more. Within the theories, we learned about the authors of the theories and how the theories can be applied in today's society. To add, with each theory, we talk about what we could change as a society to stop or minimize crime.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students who are considering the course, should be open-minded. This class requires students to view each and every possible reason for crime. Students should also expect reading materials and videos to get a better understanding of the course. Lastly, open discussions are an important part in this class.
