Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course greatly contributed to the education requirements needed to obtain the BCBA credential. Before sitting for the BCBA exam, students must learn and demonstrate all of the components of the Fourth Edition TaskList. The course provided useful application of many of the task objectives.

    Course highlights:

Practicing implementing functional behavior assessments with peers provided helpful practice in conducting indirect assessments. Working with a peer allowed students to role-play both the interviewer and the interviewee and allowed students to meet other people taking the course.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is imperative to read the syllabus, course schedule, and each assignment overview in its entirety. Often questions were posted in the class discussion forum that had already been addressed elsewhere in the course resources.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This expands on material covered in prerequisite classes and encourages a look at ABA from an educator's point of view. How can you apply the things you learn to a classroom setting?

    Course highlights:

How to conduct a functional behavior assessment. The coursework in this class takes you from conducting a FAST to creating a BIP for the client.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend it. It truly applies to the field we are trying to achieve in. While they just go over the basics, they do require the Cooper book & that book expands on ABA.

    Course highlights:

I learned the basics of ABA. However, various modules and papers assigned allow for you to go into a bit more depth. Reinforcement, punishment, ratio scales, they're all mentioned in the course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I suggest making index cards on the vocabulary and topics discussed. It allows you to expand on your vocabulary and memorize topics you'll be using throughout the rest of the courses as well as in your profession
