    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Jackie is an amazing teacher who really helped me with my confidence in social work. She has an amazing life story and is one of the best instructors I have ever had. I took her two semesters in a row and wish she taught more!

    Course highlights:

We practiced interviews in this class, which were different and sometimes difficult, but it is great to have that experience before starting internship the following semester.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading assignments! Jackie gives occasional pop-quizzes on the reading to make sure students are actually reading.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I definitely recommend this course because not only does it teach you valuable social work skills but it incorporates it to a diverse population and increases the understanding of a person. We were able to learn how to interview a person and do paper work as though we were actual social workers already. The experience of it all really gave me a glimpse into the world of social work and I loved it even more after that.

    Course highlights:

I believe the highlight of this course was being able to interview a person in a professional setting and talk about real life situations and speak about possible goals the client would like to establish in order to overcome whatever obstacle they were facing.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to any future student that is going to be taking this class is to never leave any assignments until last minute because that will definite jeopardize your grade, especially when the interviewing and the paper work comes along with it, it would be best to do it weeks prior to get ahead.
