    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it to someone who is really interested in theoretical computer science. The course offers some brain warping questions and increases algorithmic problem solving. Professor Charles Colbourn teaches it and is an expert in the subject. His exams are generally very tough and consequently, CSE355 midterms and finals are tough TO someone who loves coding nd not theory, this course is not at all suitable

    Course highlights:

The pumping Lemmas for Regular Languages and context free languages were the topics I liked the most. I learnt mathematical formulation of computation.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Revise the concepts same day of the class. Put an honest effort in solving homework problems. Go to every Recitation session and help session. Do a group study for this course. Master the Pumping Lemmas for Regular Languages and Context free languages. The first two midterms carry a good weightage from these concepts
