    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Organic Chemistry is a very challenging course, however, the very interesting topic has increased my knowlege and understanding of the molecular structures and properties of organic chemicals. Dr. Gould is an amazing professor who truly cares about everyones success and understanding of the topic at hand and he will go the extra mile to make sure students understand a certain question they have. He provides in-depth homework and review questions which gives you a sence of what type of questions will be on the test and the format.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was professor Gould. He amazed me with his determination for students to understand a very abstract topic like Organic Chemistry. He would go ut of his way to provide in-depth explanations for over a thousand homework and review questions throughout the semester which allowed for everyone to obtain their desired grade for this course. I learned many things from this course which is too much to go in-depth. The idea of the atomic orbital theory was an abstact topic, however, Professor Gould continuosuly brought the idea up in many different examples to allow for the idea to stick with people and allow them to understand the idea in multiple perspectives.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

This course is avery abstract and difficult course, however, if you put the time and effort to learn the topics and do the homework thoroghly, an A is very achievable. Take the time to learn the topics and do not cram at the last minute before a test because there is to much information to learn for just a short period of time. If you take the time everyday to learn a little each time, studying before the test will be a very easy review time.
