Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was time intensive, but pretty fun overall. There are many sims that you use throughout, and some of them are in beta stage.

    Course highlights:

If you know how to use spreadsheets for calculations, you have this down! If you don't, YouTube is your friend. The TAs were very responsive, and there is a Piazza message board (rather than Blackboard) that is used for communication. Finding the Habitable World (it's kind of an online scavenger hunt with calculations) is kind of moving, in a weird way...

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Start early on finding your habitable world. When you are taking the weekly tests, if you get an answer wrong, DON'T submit it, but go back and take the whole test over again--you can improve your score by answering correctly--just re-start the test.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The instructor/TA's were extremely helpful and responded quickly to questions. Even though it was difficult, I am extremely grateful for the knowledge I gained regarding this topic.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about our solar system, its creation, and the biology as well as geological concepts that were involved in the creation of our Earth. I also learned how to identify a habitable world.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not underestimate that this is a "lower-division" course, it is extremely difficult therefore stay focused and do not procrastinate on any of the work.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Honestly, this course is A LOT of work. It takes time and effort but the outcome is amazing! I thoroughly enjoy this class and actually find it fun. It is a 4 credit online science but the website that the content is on is super cool and easy to navigate! Also, the instructor is awesome! He does the lectures himself even!

    Course highlights:

I learned the qualities of a habitable world and a lot about space, stars, and planets that I didn't before. The project and the learning modules were fun!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely manage your time well and DO NOT procrastinate on the modules.
