    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was an online class, and so you live and die by how attentive of a student you are. There aren't a whole lot of regular updates on what needs to be done each week. The class can get lost in the shuffle if you are taking a full schedule.

    Course highlights:

This class teaches you about the presidency and the executive branch of the American federal government. You go through the history and development of the executive branch, the development of the presidency into the modern office it is today, the powers of the presidency, the different roles the president embodies throughout a presidential term. You also look at the executive branch and how the president interacts with it through the use of proclamations and executive orders. Finally, you examine the presidency's relationship with the other two branches of federal government, going into plenty of detail with the presidency's relationship with Congress.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always check this course's website for updates. You have to be able to stay on top of everything and be organized. There is a big group project at the end of the semester. As this is an online class, you don't necessarily ever meet your fellow group members in person. So constant communication among group members is key to doing well on that project.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class is very fun and easy to be engaged in. I learned a lot about the presidency and the election throughout the course of the semester.

    Course highlights:

All of the time we discussed the presidential debates would be my highlights. Also, we spent a lot of time talking about debates, polling, and advertising.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Go to office hours in order to be succesful in this class. Also, you can't miss class.
