Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course to anyone interested in learning about the basics of Sociology. You learn about many of the social interactions that guide human interaction and you also study how institutions work together to form the society we live in today. One of the most interesting things you learn about are the powers of social norms and how they influence behavior.

    Course highlights:

The overall course is structured very well and you learn a lot about how people interact and what social norms and influences guide these interactions. You also study the world's greatest Sociologists and you learn about their immense contributions to society and how they changed how people began to think about social interaction.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go to class because a lot of the quiz and test material is straight from the lecture and you may also be offered extra credit on any given day. Do the reading! no matter what course it is, also do the required reading, for this is the backbone of the course. Most of the learning happens outside of the classroom and if you are not doing all the required reading you are missing a lot of what there is to learn, and largely what you will most likely be tested on.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He is just a great professor and I feel like everyone should at least take one SOC class.

    Course highlights:

The examples he uses and how much you learn in such a short amoi=ut of time. You learn all these different stereotypes and about discrimination, it's just crazy it's not offered in high school.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To definitely take it. You learn so much you wish you would have learned in high school.
