Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a great introductory course about the natural world. It explores how our Earth works and is highly interesting. I would recommend this course to anyone interested in nature.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course for me were learning how to differentiate rock formations, as well as volcanoes and clouds. I also really enjoyed learning how volcanoes are formed and what actually goes on underneath our Earth´s crust.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be overwhelmed by the start. Once you get a hang of watching the lectures and taking the quizzes, it becomes much more enjoyable. Dive in, and enjoy exploring our planet!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Honestly, this class is kind of hit or miss. I went to class every day and took notes and then I would study for hours and get a D on the exams. It is mostly based on luck and how much he curves the tests.

    Course highlights:

The only important part of this class is the 3 exams, that is your entire grade. The information is interesting but the way Professor Balling presents it is not very informative, his lecture powerpoints are all pictures. Every student felt the same way about this class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say pay attention to the study guides he gives before the test, and the test questions he gives out in class. On the exams, you can often use common sense to find the right answers so that helps. Other than that, sadly you must rely on the curves to help your grade.
