Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because I learned so much that I will take with me through life. Sometimes in other courses students may cram for a test and then neglect all of that information within a week. In humanities we learned concepts from the course and teacher that helped shape us into well-rounded students.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the importance of having an open mind. I also felt encouraged to educate myself rather than immediately going along with anything I hear.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Have an open mind and heart. Sometimes lessons may seem "weird" or too different. You will take so much more away from the course if you are open and excited to learn.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Miss Dempsey is a great teacher and she is always someone you can count on inside and outside of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

I learned about a lot of things in the class, but my favorites were art, music, and philosophy. Miss Dempsey knew so much about all of these things and she explained them very well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Paying attention to every lesson is key. The course is taught very quickly but if you take notes and study for every test, you are sure to pass.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a flawless mesh between history, literature, and the fine arts. Humanities delves much deeper than one's basic English class. It is captivating, from Greek and Roman history, to Monet's impressionism.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is when we read certain books, such as Ishmael by Daniel Quinn, that forces us to reconsider everything we know about humanity. It forces us to rethink our worldview in an entirely new light.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep an open mind, and prepare to look at the world in a completely new fashion. This course will force you to consider ideas that previously you have never even dreamt of.
