Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She's a really nice teacher and makes the labs interesting. A little hard if you don't have any previous experience with chemistry. You have to be a hands on learner to actually understand most of this class because you won't be getting actual notes.

    Course highlights:

You get to memorize the periodic table and who contributed to making it. My favorite part of the course would probably be learning about the experiences that let the scientists find out more about the atom.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Really pay attention to the math portion of the class. The rest of it is just memorization but that is very important in its own way. Also, make friends within the class and don't be afraid to ask for help from the teacher.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's decent for a class you have to take in order to graduate. The class is a balance between fast and slow paced but don't let that trick you into not studying for the finals! This class is especially useful if you plan on taking AP Chemistry the following year, as it is a good preliminary course. Also, do yourself a favor and memorize the periodic table of elements a few weeks before you start this class; it'll definitely help.

    Course highlights:

While I didn't particularly care for this course, I did definitely learn about the properties of matter of many every day products around me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study study study. Use all the resources Larsen provides. And especially study for the finals.
