Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher seems strict but she is very open to opinions. The writing assignments are also really enjoyable. The whole second semester is pretty much essays where it requires deep thought into oneself instead of the need to do intense research.

    Course highlights:

My favorite assignments were at the end of the second semester. These included the existentialism essays and project and the debate. The existentialism essay is meant to help one pinpoint and understand their very own reason for their existence; perfect for the final senior project. The debate really tested your research, reasoning, and creativity; another perfect assignment at the end of the year!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Choose topics that you enjoy and do not feel obligated to choose difficult projects. Nobody in the class will judge. It is a very open class and we all develop to be both reasonable and empathetic people.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took this course so I could receive dual enrollment and it is honestly one of the best decisions I have made during my high school career. I have learned so much and I know that by taking this course it will help me later in life.

    Course highlights:

Before I took this class, I was not the best writer by any means. By taking this course, I have learned how to be a better writer and I have received better grades because of this course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Since all we do in the class is write essays, you seriously cannot procrastinate. It is very difficult to write an essay the night before it is due. What is nice about taking this course while in high school is the teachers o step by step with you (first outline, then rough draft, then final draft). Going through each step in the writing process definitely helped me to become a better writer.
