    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is beyond eye-opening. To begin with, the class engages in many thorough dissections, some of them include a cow eye and brain, a liver and a whole cat. This class really puts the human body into perspective and just how amazing it really is. Mrs. Miller is a flawless teacher. She connects with students on a personal level, has humor to keep everyone interested and can simplify any difficult subject.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches you thoroughly about each of the body systems and how they work together. It gets down to the specifics, beginning with the skin. The whole body is investigated and each body process is thoroughly looked through. The highlights of the course were definitely the dissections. These helped connect many of the lessons and I was able to truly understand how things worked. It was also amazing being able to feel bones in my face and be able to name them!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to study the vocabulary and use the in depth study guides she provides. Also, make sure to get engaged into the lessons, as it will help so you much more talking to her!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because it gives high school students a look into the medical field. They have the opportunity to learn much about the human body, not only through studies, but through dissections of similar constructed animals.

    Course highlights:

I am currently learning about the functions of tissues throughout the human body. We will soon learn every bone and how they function.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If students study and pay attention in class, they will succeed.
