    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you love to write poems and stories all while turning the society we live in, into your own work, then you would love this class. Mr. Coffey is one of the best teachers at THS and he will teach you how to use the deepest parts of your imagination to write some of the most amazing pieces of literature.

    Course highlights:

We learned several different writing techniques that ranged from short stories to long ten-paged stories. We also learned a lot about using dialogue and speech in our writing. The class read a lot of literature to learn about these techniques.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't over think this course and do not get too stressed over having to write poems or stories. If you think you are bad at either, just try and use your imagination to help guide you in writing something great. Everyone is capable of becoming a great writer, you just have to practice.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is the best class I have ever taken throughout my four years of high school. It allows you to write stories and poems in ways you never even knew you could do. It opens your mind and lets what you think and feel be put on paper and have amazing stories come of them.

    Course highlights:

I gained being able to have my voice be heard through poems and stories I wrote. I learned how many people could take one topic and have completely different views and opinions because no one is the same. I learned how life in general relates to writing in so many ways.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this class, all you need is an open mind, a pen, and piece of paper. You can be the worst writer in the class, but if you have an open and creative mind, I promise you Mr. Coffey will get you to be where he knows you can be. He is the best teacher and will help you to be the writer you never thought even existed. Everyone can write, some may just need a little more help along the way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

I would recommend it because it's a fun class and you learn a lot.

    Course highlights:

I learned many things about how to improve my writing.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Try to focus on improving your own style of writing, not trying to copy someone else's.
