    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because learning how our country came to be established is pretty important, as well as how our country had been able to stay united. The professor teaches with passion, and it makes the subject one you want to actually learn about.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course had been the opportunity to demonstrate what I had learned through my own words. Working on assignments required the ability to understand concepts and paraphrase in a manner that made history seem like an exclamatory story.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, it is a given. Take notes down, as well as verbal discussions. Review notes every other day. You do not want to miss even one class. The class required quite a few essays, but they were doable as long as the material was read.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He is a great professor who is extremely passionate about what he does.

    Course highlights:

He doesn't skimp on any information when he gives it, he makes sure that we know as much as possible about the area of history that he is lecturing on.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

LISTEN TO HIS INFLECTION! When he gives lectures and has you take notes, make sure that you listen to the way he speaks about certain topics. He tends to emphasize certain things in his lectures that will be on tests, and you can tell by the way he talks about it. PAY ATTENTION!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Before taking this course I was not well-versed in historical content. Professor Vasconcellos is one of the top professors at Barstow Community College. His expertise and subject matter knowledge is far more extensive than any professor I have ever had the pleasure of learning from. He makes the class interactive and fun, while relating historical matters to those of the present. This course is a fantastic start to a solid understanding of US History.

    Course highlights:

The reading materials would be the highlight of this course. Each of the texts selected by Professor Vasconcellos are enriching and provide students with real world scenarios that will be understood well.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course I suggest the utmost respect and seriousness for both the subject and the professor. History 2A was one of my favorite classes, not because it was easy, but because I learned a great deal and was able to build a foundation for history in the United States.
