    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course since students are able to develop their writing skills. This course introduces more writing styles and techniques for students to write a clear and organized essay. It also enables students to identify themes, motifs, figurative language, and character development in novels.

    Course highlights:

Within the past year, my writing scores have significantly improved. I am able to thoroughly analyze pieces of text and provide a sufficient amount of evidence to prove my argument. As for my reading skills, I have learned how to better understand how the novel works in pieces, and as a whole work.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Students must have the dedication to read a significant amount on their own. Many novels may be assigned and time must be set aside for reading. In addition, this course requires students to write a lot of essays, varying from different topics. Students must be willing to write in class essays as well as take home essays and complete them to the best of your abilities!
